CARE
Ellen Moens is the Travel Analyst for CARE, one of the world’s largest private international humanitarian organizations committed to helping families in poor communities improve their lives and achieve victories over poverty. Founded in 1945 to provide relief to survivors of World War II, the organization quickly became a trusted vehicle for the compassion and generosity of millions. CARE today serves individuals and families in the poorest communities in the world, and sends its representatives around the globe in pursuit of its goal of helping people rebuild their lives.

“Our representatives fly all around the world, so you can imagine the travel problems I have encountered!” Moens states. “Many of the travel stories that I heard when I assumed this position were almost unbelievable. After 14 years with CARE, I felt I had a good understanding of the travel needs of our organization, but there was a lot I needed to learn about the travel industry.”

Moens relied on the travel professionals at ADTRAV Travel Management to provide that education.

“Through the patience and expertise of the ADTRAV team, I have learned a lot about the industry in a relatively short period of time,” she notes. “With RezAlert, we are only a few mouse clicks away from the information we need about CARE’s travelers whenever we need it. By utilizing the RezReporter system, we have already saved a forest of trees by eliminating the need for the agents to send us copies of itineraries. Whether it’s negotiating airline contracts, identifying potential cost savings or overcoming challenges, the collective knowledge of the people at ADTRAV has provided me with the travel services CARE needs and an improved insight and understanding of the industry. Our relationship with ADTRAV has helped me in my work of negotiating contracts, managing partnerships, and building relationships between CARE and the travel industry. I look forward to building on our relationship with ADTRAV in the future.”
