In response to this
increasing demand, many resorts and cruise lines now offer complete
wedding packages. These range from an intimate ceremony on the beach to an
elaborately catered private villa, to a fairytale wedding including a ride
in Cinderella’s horse drawn chariot! However, more typically these
packages include a justice of the peace or clergyman, flowers, cake, a
bottle of champagne and breakfast in bed. Some offer videography, a
candlelight dinner, gift baskets, hair styling, and a dressing attendant
for the bride. Many resorts (especially in Jamaica) offer the services of
an experienced wedding coordinator who can help plan he ceremony or take
advantage of the resort's natural beauty.
When planning a destination wedding, it is not uncommon for family or a small wedding party to accompany the bride and groom for at least a couple of days. Many resorts and cruise lines offer special group pricing depending on the size of the party.
