Past Travel News

In 2005, we initiated the ambitious program ADTRAV in Action to support non-profit organizations as they respond to communities in immediate distress and offer assistance to help them expand their long-term capacity. Our goal was to encourage and sustain corporate philanthropy through financial support and volunteerism.

ADTRAV in Action 2007

2007 was a great year for "Service Nonstop!" in the truest since of the word. We did a lot to help out with local causes in each location. We put together a cookbook of famous employee recipes and sold them in our area. The profit from these cookbooks was then shared among our 5 offices.

At our headquarters we used the money to help 15 teenagers have a Christmas that wouldn't have normally. Through DHR we were able to connect with families and spend over $1500 on them so they could have the best Christmas ever.

At our newest branch in Tempe, Arizona we were able to give $128 to the Zonta Foundation of East Valley, Zonta is an international organization promoting the advancement of woman in over 75 countries worldwide.

SAPP Donation

Our Huntsville office presented a check of $303.85 to the SAPP Shelter for battered women and their children on January 24. The money donated will be used to place these families in permanent homes.

Montgomery decide to use their cookbook sales of $113.33 for The Sunshine Center (Center for Victims of domestic violence and their children).

And lastly Pensacola presented a check to the local Red Cross.

We are proud to say that ADTRAV is in Action and donated a $2171.13 in cookbook sales for 2007.

American Heart Association

American Heart Association

Did you know that heart disease kills more people in America each year than any other disease? And that stroke is a leading cause of disability and the No. 3 killer? Adventure Travel participated in the American Heart Association Heart Walk. The walk itself is a mile walk that will took place at Regions Park in Birmingham, Alabama. We had over 18 employees that were dedicated to walk at the event and raise monetary support. Walkers had their own websites to raise money along with in-office fundraisers like a cake walk and t-shirt sales. Adventure Travel as a company committed to raise $3,000 and had surpassed that goal by raising close to 4,4044.32! ADTRAV's total helped us come in 15 out of 100 local companies.

Over the past 3 years ADTRAV has raised over $12,000 for the American Heart Association.

ADTRAV in Action will begin work on a local Habitat project in the Spring of 2006 with plans to sponsor our own Habitat House in the near future.
